Casita Sitges guests

Meet Our Guests Birgitta & Ian

Meet our guests Birgitta & Jan.

This fantastic couple from Sweden spent ten days at Casita Sitges in September. They are very young grand parents who like to travel as a couple and enjoy Mediterranean Countries such Spain.

Jan is a coffee lover so we made sure he could find a top quality Italian coffee at Casita Sitges. Birgitte is a curious soul who likes to explore and make the most out of their travelling. Jan and Birgitte rented a car to drive up to beautiful Costa Brava and discover other areas nearby Barcelona they had not visited in the past.

They were enthusiastic about their holiday in Sitges and this is what they wrote about their holiday and Casita Sitges:

Dear Paola, this is our third visit to Sitges and definitely the best, much thanks to you. This is all you need to feel at home. A lovely apartment, what light! The terraces for both sun and shades are well worth the steps up to the door. Paola you were quite outstanding before and during our visit, thank you for everything! Next time we visit Sitges will for sure include Casita Sitges. Birgitta and Jan

Thank you Birgitta and Jan, we will welcome you again with all the warmth of the Spanish sun! 🙂

Sitges

Sitges off season

How about a holiday off season? See how beautiful Sitges is during the month of November. We shot this video yesterday, an amazing day. Enjoy!

Sunset in Sitges

Sunset in Sitges

The best sunset in Sitges can be watched from El Vivero terrace in avinguda Balmins. This bar and restaurant has a huge terrace overlooking the sea. From El Vivero’s terrace one can admire the silhouette of Sitges: the church, the coastline, the crooked palm tree in plaça del Ajuntament are all the icons of Sitges.

Enjoy the view!

Cobbled street in Sitges

Sitges Old Town

Wandering through the streets of Sitges old town, you’ll find architectural periods range from the renaissance to art nouveau; there are several old baronial residences which now house art galleries and museums. The lovely old town is awash with traditional whitewashed residences, blooms of flowers hang over the terraces, the higgledy piggledy cobbled streets are picturesque and full of local chatter… like the street in this photo. Lovely, isn’t ?

Dalia Art Sitges

A Morocco touch in Sitges

In case you wonder whether you accidentally stumbled in a blog about Morocco while searching information about Sitges, let me assure you are not. We are still in Spain, in Sitges old town.

This beautiful shop makes you feel you are in the souk of Marrakech. The leather smell, the light coming from the inner patio in the shop, the quantity and the diversity of the objects around the shop are some of the beautiful features of this very interesting shop that I have only recently discovered. Dalia Art shop is located in carrer Mayor 5 in the heart of Sitges old town. The items on sales range from leather with objects very nicely cut such as travel bags and purses, beautiful Moroccan pottery such as colourful tajne pots, amazing carpets of all sizes piled up in one of the corner of the shop. Most items are of a very good quality and are reasonably priced. If you are after a colourful and Mediterranean style of decoration I would recommend a visit to this shop. The personnel is very kind and helpful so start your journey and experience a bit of Morocco in Sitges!

Early in May I had the pleasure to host Kayla, a young and talented journalist who wanted to discover Sitges and Barcelona and write an article for the Vacation Rental Travel Magazine. The article was published just few days ago in the September/October issue and it fantastic. Kayla describes beautifully what Sitges village is all about and she also shares her experience and emotions while staying at Casita Sitges. If you have not yet been to Sitges I recommend you to read this article as it will give you a very good overview of all the things one can do while visiting the town and the type of atmosphere that you will find.
The Vacation Rental Travel is a bi-monthly online magazine specialised in travelling and vacation rentals featuring beautiful holidays locations and fantastic homes. I feel very privileged to have Casita Sitges featured in this great magazine. I hope you will all enjoy the article! 🙂
